    About

    A Scientific Approach to Materials

RUBBER N' ROAD works closely in direct relationships with the world's greatest fabric millers on material innovation.

In our products, you will find cutting edge fabrics from specialized millers we developed unique relationships with. Our milling partners are based in Switzerland, Japan, France, USA, and Italy. Many of the fabrics we use are custom-milled to our specs.

Our production takes place in NYC's historic Garment District, Italy, and Canada.

    Developed From the Insight Out

Every RUBBER N' ROAD product is the direct results of insights gained on the road, and intense engineering and testing at our NYC studio and Atelier.

Our Co-Founder, Max Davis, leads are product testing together with members of our global community. On average, Max spends 12-24 months testing our products before their release, sometimes on rides lasting over 180+ miles.

    Designed & Made in NYC

RUBBER N' ROAD is an independently owned brand based in the heart of NYC.

Our studio, located above our boutique in the Midtown Manhattan, is where we conceptualize, design and make many of out prototypes.

Our unique and aesthetics is rooted in the personal vision and history world of our Co-Founder and Creative Director Gil Lavi.

Many of our pieces are made at our NYC Atelier, at the heart of NYC's historic Garment District.

    Sustainability

    Prototyping & Manufacturing in NYC

Our extreme commitment to sustainability starts with designing, prototyping and manufacturing many of our products in New York City, within a one-mile radius from our flagship store and atelier, often using US-milled, recycled fabrics.

    Avoiding Overproduction and Waste

We take great care to produce our apparel in responsible quantities. Our collections are small-batch and bespoke, made with only the finest fabrics in an ethical manner. We employ recycled fabrics when possible.

    Socially & Ethically Responsible Production

99% of our production takes place in the USA, Italy, and Canada, in production facilities that we visit often. We know our fabric cutters, sewing machine operators, and packers by name, and personally ensure fair treatment and wages.

    Responsible Supply Chain

While achieving unparalleled performance in every product is our priority, we take great care to reduce the carbon footprint in our production.

We often choose our production site for a product based on proximity to the fabric miller and special technologies used during the manufacturing process.

In our NYC production, we always prioritize US-milled fabrics with recycled yarns.
