On the first weekend of August, we ventured north across the Canadian border to visit our friends and retail partners at Vélo Cartel in Québec City to celebrate the launch of our new Uniform Collection. The collection culminates years of R&D and represents our promise as cyclists to provide committed riders with a new class of performance.
On Saturday morning, over 100 riders rolled up to the start line of the RUBBER N' ROAD x Vélo Cartel Coffee Ride. Max Davis, RUBBER N' ROAD's Co-Founder, led the ride alongside the Vélo Cartel Crew.
The 50-mile route rolled east along the St. Lawrence River to the quaint town of Sainte-Anne-de-Beaupré for a coffee stop. Québec enjoys a vibrant cycling community of riders who are dedicated to all-year-long training and racing.
Following the ride, the group returned to Velo Cartel for a BBQ and raffle, where one lucky rider took home the grand prize: a new Uniform kit. Not one hot dog was left uneaten.
Vélo Cartel was founded by former professional racer Bruno Langlois, who is well-respected for his accomplishments as a breakaway rider during his pro racing career, and for his leadership & commitment towards the Québec cycling community.
In the afternoon, Bruno invited Max and members of the Vélo Cartel crew to venture northwest into the mountains to ride Bruno's favorite training route, the very route that led to his 2016 victory at the Canadian National Road Championship. A surprise and intense thunderstorm wasn't enough to spoil the fun.
RUBBER N' ROAD is proud to partner with cycling hubs like Vélo Cartel, who work tirelessly to evolve the sport of cycling by supporting independent makers pushing the limits of quality and performance.
A huge thanks to Vélo Cartel founder Bruno Langlois, his staff, and the amazing community in Québec that welcomed us with open arms.
